"Through my coaching practice, I seek to empower parents to repair and renew their relationships with their troubled or at-risk teens, giving them the power to influence their children to make better choices."
About Me
Elena Krakovsky ACPI Certified Coach for Parents
Coaching has been a steady passion and undertaking in my life, although only in the last several years has it solidified into a formal professional discipline. Whether at school pursuing a Masters in Telecommunications, or later in my many years working as a software engineer, people of diverse ages and backgrounds gravitated toward me for help with their personal issues and relationship woes, knowing that they could expect a listening ear, a non-judgmental attitude and compassion.
However as much as I was blessed with the ability to help others, there were many years in which my own family was hurting, and nothing we did seemed to work. Nearly losing my son to a life of outlaw and outcast was the brutal wake-up call that finally enabled me to transcend the blind spots that were sabotaging our relationship, and radically change my approach. My son responded in kind and transformed his life for the better, growing into the responsible, successful person that I always knew him to be. That is when I knew I had an obligation to help other families in need, and enrolled in the Academy for Coaching Parents International (ACPI). Since then, through my private practice and volunteering, I have coached parents and children of all backgrounds, helping them restore peace, well-being, and mutual respect back into their home-lives.
